Brief Bio

Di is currently working as a research scientist at Samsung AI Center Montreal and an adjunct professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at McGill University.  He did postdoctoral research at Stanford University and MILA during 2018-2019. Di received the Ph.D. degree from McGill University, Montreal, Canada, in July 2018 and the MSc degree from Peking University Beijing, China, in 2013. Di's research interests mainly lie in designing data-efficient machine learning algorithms for sequential decision making (via Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Transfer Learning) and leverage the designed algorithms for real-world applications (Smart Grid, Intelligent Transportation System, Communication System, and Health Care).
